Sun-Baked Summer
Sun-Baked Summer was an independent project that I completed entirely on my own during my final year at Texas A&M University. Two armadillos make their way in the summer heat. From story, to environment, to compositing and everything in-between, I did every part of the process to see what I could achieve as a solo artist in a relatively short amount of production time. I also wanted to experiment with making CG animation that had a look inspired by traditional cel-sheet animation.
June Bug - Disney Intern Short
June Bug was an animated short created with 8 other production interns at Walt Disney Animation Studios for the summer of 2021. We used it as an opportunity to collaborate, learn more about our craft and strengthen our knowledge of filmmaking under the guidance of our mentors. I animated the scenes from 0:24 - 0:44 (not including 2D-animated bug shadow).
Slippery Slope
Slippery Slope was an independent project that I completed with 9 other classmates during 2021 at Texas A&M University. In the short, a dad and his daughter hit the slopes. I served as the sole animator on the team, animating every shot.
Surface Deep
Because this short is still currently in film festivals, it is password-protected for now. Feel free to email me if you wish to see it.
Surface Deep was an independent project that I completed with a large team of other classmates from 2020-2022 at Texas A&M University. My main role was serving as the lead animator, though I also partially helped with rigging. I worked on the 3D animation during the scenes from 0:57-1:04, 1:15-1:38, 2:02-2:09, and 2:32-2:52.
The Grind
The Grind was a semester-long class project that I completed with 6 other classmates in the fall of 2021 at Texas A&M University. The theme was "clockwork" and our team wanted to create a coffee shop that runs in a perfect loop. My main role was serving as the lead animator and rigger on the project, as well as one of the project managers. I animated the scenes from 0:10-0:30.
Gone Fishing
Gone Fishing was a semester-long class project that I completed with 5 other classmates in the fall of 2020 at Texas A&M University. The goal was to create an animated short that mimicked something handmade. My team wanted to evoke the feeling of a finely-crafted little wooden theatre. My main role was serving as the lead animator and rigger on the project. I animated the entire short, not including the title and credit sequences.
Overthrow
Password: overandout
Overthrow was an independent project that I completed with 4 other classmates from October 2019 to June 2020 at Texas A&M University. The short is about two brothers who come closer together after a few frustrating rounds in their favorite video game. I served as the animation lead and headed the 3D development of 2 character models in the film - the younger brother and the little fighter. I animated the scenes from 1:40 - 1:46, and 1:57 - 2:54 not including the win screen.
Burnt Cookies
Burnt Cookies was a semester-long class project that I completed with 5 other classmates in the spring of 2020 at Texas A&M University. The goal was to create an animated commercial advertising a product of our choice. We chose a fictional oven company. My main role was serving as the lead animator on the project. I animated the scenes from 0:00 - 0:05, and 0:09 - 0:32 not including the fire and still shots of the oven.
No free candy
Created for a 36 hour competition, "Gigajam 2019", I completed my first 3D short on my own in March 2019. It won Runner Up for Best Time-Based Media Award at the public showing.
